Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This policy explains what the Mandurah Over 55 Cycling Club Inc. (MO55CC) website collects about you and what we do with it. The site is a public information site with no accounts and nothing to sign in to. The only personal information it handles comes from the contact form and from Google Analytics.

1. The contact form

When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your message

Your message is emailed to the club committee so we can reply to you, and a copy is emailed to you as confirmation. We use it only to answer your enquiry. It is not stored in a database on the website. The email is delivered through SendGrid, an email delivery service, and then sits in the committee members' mailboxes like any other email. SendGrid keeps delivery records (the addresses, the time and whether the email was delivered) for a limited period.

To limit spam, the website notes the internet address (IP address) each message comes from and blocks more than a few messages a minute from the same address. This is kept in memory only for a short time and is not included in the email we receive.

2. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find the site. This helps us decide what to improve. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, the time of your visit, your approximate location, and the type of device and browser you use. It does not tell us who you are. Google processes this information on its own servers under Google's privacy policy.

You can stop Google Analytics collecting your visits by:

The site works the same either way.

3. Hosting

The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel handles the requests your browser makes to load pages and may keep standard server logs, which can include your IP address, for a short time. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.

4. Overseas services

SendGrid, Google and Vercel are overseas services, based mainly in the United States. Information handled by them may be processed outside Australia.

5. What we don't do

  • We don't sell or share your details for marketing
  • We don't send newsletters or mailing lists from this website
  • We don't collect payment details through this website

6. Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold from your contact form messages, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at the address below and we will sort it out.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how the website works, we will update this page and the date at the top.
